“You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?”
I tell people, generally at least my partner and family. Not really sure what else there is to say on that one. Though the last time I had news of that magnitude was me getting my funding for Sussex confirmed, and as I had to battle to get the person on the phone to confirm it was for 4 years instead of three, the first thing I did was just untense and try to calm down. So I guess, it depends? That’s an even vaguer answer than I had before.
Woo, a double-zero-day. I mean, it’s cool and all but the novelty isn’t all that big to me, and to be honest even day 100 wasn’t, though that was pre-blog. Day 200 I think was when I finished VOL so that stood out, and 1K1K was just emotional exhaustion so it wasn’t all that fun. But still, milestone is a milestone, so Imma have some Cotswolds gin – it was reduced – and play some Arena to relax before bed. But, I guess I would be remiss if I didn’t note the next 100 days’ significance: I will meet my partner in person for the first time, and in all likelihood have some idea if I finally passed the first year after 12 years. So I guess that’s the double-zero-day to watch out for.
