“Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?”
There’s, an obvious candidate for this question, but I’m not doing that one. For those in the know wondering what became of it, I still have it, but it’s tossed in a box somewhere in my cupboard, and probably damaged by now. It’s not the positive symbol it once was, nor ever should have been.
Let’s see, well I think if I were to pick an object I felt strong attachment to, my Game Boy Color – using the American spelling printed onto it – is probably the best candidate. I think I put in more hours on my Game Boy Advance, but I have a distinctive memory of opening my Game Boy Color on Christmas day along with Pokemon Yellow. As for what became of it…

Battery’s even still working, though I have done multiple playthroughs over the years. Actually I should do another one soon. Also that owl sticker on the bottom corner used to be an Owl wearing spectacles and a mortarboard hat, with “Sam” written underneath. If I am ever famous enough one day that people scour this blog obsessively, and any of those sleuths happen to find that sticker somewhere, or at least the image in a way I could make a reproduction sticker of it, that would be amazing.
And as for my health? Touch wood, I am hoping to be back at work tomorrow. I really hope I am, both because I like having the routine, and I really do not like leaving people waiting for replies on stuff…
