Ok I have no idea why you people subscribe to this blog so imma do some good with it. Buy The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. Thank me later. I wish I hadn’t been so mean to myself and put it off until today. I breezed through the entire thing in a single 7 hour sitting, and aside from the Tuesday and 10 year achievements I have all the unlockables and story and, by god I am debating cheating to get that don’t play for ten years achievement because I don’t want to wait 10 years. Heck I’d rather buy it again on another storefront and play that copy instead for the next decade just to ensure I get it but still get to enjoy the title, it’s just that great. Smashed its way into my top ten list, both the regular one and the one that condenses by series. On the former, it now sits a whole 13 places above the original, and that is saying something. Buy it. If you’re not as clued into your video game tropes, that is the one instance I’d urge caution, that definitely adds a lot of value. But honestly, you don’t need a ton of that. Just go buy it already.
Didn’t finish NHO today. It’s fine, I’ll start the epilogue tomorrow and should have it done by Tuesday. At which point, I now have to decide if I pivot to TUS to get it to the 85k mark, or if I jump right into TEL. And while I lean towards the former I gotta say, I do not know. Just another tricky choice on top of a deluge of decisions and key moments right now. Funny, I wonder if something that elevated The Stanley Parable so much was getting to play a game about meaningful choices that don’t leave my irl life so much in the balance.
