For the last couple of weeks, I have been doing the absolute bare minimum for my daily edits. I’d go through and make some minor stylistic changes to a random chapter of a random story, or I’d make a continuity edit because of a new event in TBS that I needed to match up in the past. The last three days have vindicated that approach. DOing just ‘what I can, but doing one thing at least’ each day when I don’t feel good, means when my focus returns I can do so much more, and still have the habit. I have now done a sensory edit of chapters 1, 2 and 3 of WHT, and with luck that trend will continue until I’ve done so for the whole novel. If that works, I’ll do TUS afterwards, and write the missing chapters as I get to them.
That jab really messed me up. I think I’m ok now, but losing a week of my private project productivity was rough. Here’s hoping it actually keeps ‘long covid’ at arms length.
