Three days off a gigabyte. Ok that’s not true, spaces use up bytes, and documents store formatting information too, not to mention that handwritten text can’t really be stored in a neat way to convey the data within it to ‘x words is y bytes’. But hey, I like the number 1,024. It’s not even that day yet, what the hell am I going on about? And I thought we agreed no milestones! Seedless to nay, my world is a bit backwards right now. It does not help that I’m not sleeping at night so well, but it’s not as if that’s the only reason. Starting to worry that I’m going to need a lot more help than I realised to get back on my feet and feel safe I’ll stay that way.

So I’m writing TBS now. No pretense of TUS anymore, which makes me sad but I mean, that’s a far bigger task than I gave it credit. I’ll come back to that one later, but for now I’m keeping my head down and focusing on a first draft. Those are pretty easy for me now on the whole, even if my speed has dropped a bit. Actually that’s not exactly fair, as the drafts are getting longer and I write a thousand a day. But eh, I do still wanna do TUS soon. Alongside? Hmmmm…

I’m Sam, and I live to write. I spent most of the first 8 years of my adulthood trying to balance writing with a large amount of crap in my personal life, until towards the end of 2018 I threw everything out and started afresh with just my writing. I built the new me around one goal: I have to write at least 1,000 words a day. I called this goal 1K, and it changed my life. So long as I write a thousand words a day, the day is a success, and atop that I've managed over time to build the life I wanted all those years. My greatest flaws as a writer is I still use too many adjectives, adverbs, connectives as openers, accidental passive voice and I don't force my work down people's throats enough on pain of extreme and unusual torture. My greatest strength is I know my greatest flaws and I'm working on them.
