Writing is starting to smooth out, and I’m having a pretty productive day. As it is, I’m feeling a productivity kick so, I’m probably going to be doing an all nighter. That’s not smart per say but I’ve had no motivation for some tasks that have lingered in the flat, so I’m taking advantage of the kick. Really there’s only one thing holding me back still: my foot.
So it’s been 3 months and I am still limping. The pain isn’t stabbing, but it’s feeling pretty raw. It’s starting to get to the point where it’s 95% certain to be a sprain and not 99%. Normal circumstances, I book a day off and go get an x-ray. Given the way the world is, and the Eastbourne DGH being 12th most intense in the country right now, and I’m keen to be careful.
So what do I do? The answer has to be to get back into daily walking and see what happens. If it’s a fracture I’ll feel it pretty fast. If it’s a bad sprain, at this point it’ll hasten the recovery. And, if it stays stable and is just a dull pain, maybe, just maybe, I’ll start rowing again. Lordy do I miss that.
